Synchronized Canoeing 2022

DSCF0140
Are you interested in trying synchronized canoeing?   See an example here: https://youtu.be/wsBoTwllC-4

Careful boat control (either tandem or solo) allows several canoes to do routines together which are fun to do and pretty to watch.  We hope to have several synchronized canoeing practice sessions during the paddling season.  This does not complete a certified course.  Synchronized canoeing is best done in calm conditions.  You will be notified about a week ahead by email when a session is planned.  At that time, you may decide if the date works for you or not.

Covid-19 protocols at the time of the practice must be followed.
Please use this checklist re: 'What to Bring'  (Your instructor will provide more information)

Prerequisites:
Age 14 & up.  Minors must have a parent/guardian present at all times.
RACCC member or approved by instructor.
Participants should be familiar with draw, pry, pivot, sideways, forward straight line, backwards straight line, turns, carries and canoe transportation.
Individual boat control is required before canoes can work together for synchronized canoeing.  If your skills are not ready for this, you will be encouraged to take tandem or solo skills training or do additional practice on your own.
You must also be able to carry and transport a canoe and your own equipment.
