Private Flatwater Canoe Lessons for RACCC Members 2023

Course Description: Three-hours of private lake canoeing skills coaching at any level.   Learn the basics of paddling a canoe or improve your paddling techniques or learn more advanced canoeing strokes, maneuvers and boat control (find out what a canoe can do!)  Your choice.

One person
wo person (Tandem)  You need to organize your tandem lesson partner. Both need to be RACCC members.)

Who can participate?
RACCC members only. Age 16 years & up and comfortable swimming in deep water while wearing a PFD.  (Minors need to have parent/guardian on site during the training)
Participants need to follow RACCC health protocols.

Morning lessons:  Meet at the boathouse at 9:15 AM to organize canoes and equipment then travel to the putin.
Afternoon Lessons:  Meet at the designated put in (then at end of the day, assist in returning equipment to the RACCC Boathouse.

Cost:  RACCC MEMBERS ONLY:  $100 (Includes canoe rental + tax)   NON MEMBERS: This training is not available to non-members
(NOTE: Other costs: There are Parking fees at the paddling site - bring coins or credit card)

Registration Deadline: Participants must register no later than one week prior to training.

Dot B. has been teaching with the club since 1990 and is a nationally certified Paddle Canada Lakewater Canoeing Instructor: Solo and Tandem, Intro-Intermediate-Advanced, and is an Instructor Trainer Candidate.
Dot also teaches Paddle Canada:  Canadian Style, Big Canoe (Voyageur Canoe) and Tripping courses.
