Constance Creek - First FW Paddle 2013

Constance Creek - First FW Paddle 2013

When I got up on Sunday April 14, it was raining and one degree.  The trip leader Kathy sent out an e-mail saying that she would not blame us if we did not want to go.  After a cup of coffee and a look at the weather radar, things did not look as bad so I squeezed into my wet suit and headed down to the RA.

Once there there was no backing out since there were a number of keen new members who wanted to go for a paddle.  As we drove away from the RA, the sun came out.  Once on the creek, the water levels were medium high and ospreys, blue herons and one magnificant golden eagle were seen.  We chased it down the creek and then it was waiting for us when we returned to our lunch spot.  Paul served everyone a couple of pieces of homemade baklava to keep our strength up.  Everyone agreed that it had been a great day.
