OYCCC Provisioning Manual 1980
The 1980 provisioning manual gives an A to Z description of how to cook on a canoe camping trip. As far as I know, a more recent club provisioning manual does not exist.
A High Five to our Trip Leaders!
The paddling season is in full swing and this is a good time for applauding our trip leaders who are putting their time and effort into planning and leading awesome trips close by and far away.
Today, I recognize Paul G. and Helmut A., our prolific weekly trip leaders – they offer tried and true destinations with a sprinkle of the unknown. Come out and paddle – there is no better time than NOW!

White Water Paddlers - Skills & Rescue Training
Congratulations to the many new paddlers who have joined the club's whitewater list! The best way to improve your skills is to find opportunities to practice! Important Notice on WW Throw-bagging Technique
To all YCCC WW paddlers:
Following an incident this weekend at Washing Machine on the Rouge, I feel it is important to issue a brief reminder regarding proper throw-bagging technique.
When making a throw, in addition to throwing the rope-bag, it is vital for the rescuer to hold on to the other end of the rope. While failure to do so may result in a great deal of amusement for all involved, it can also lead to a prolonged swim for the rescuee, including chasing down the renegade throw-bag and swimming to shore without assistance.
For the rescuer, additional consequences may include anonymous humiliation on the club's website.
Thank you all for your understanding in this important matter.
Dan - Whitewater Coordinator
